Responsibilities

Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies
Working knowledge and use of tools used for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, solder iron)
Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications
Candidates must have experience working with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to develop a strategy and identify any problems that could occur during assembly
Perform basic troubleshooting to find faults in signal and connectivity issues

Required

Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with 1 to 3 years (or more) of experience with cable building and/or electrical/mechanical assembly experience
Working knowledge of specialized tools and equipment used during cable assembly process
Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance
Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies
Working knowledge and use of tools used for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, solder iron)
Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications
Candidates must have experience working with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to develop a strategy and identify any problems that could occur during assembly
Perform basic troubleshooting to find faults in signal and connectivity issues

Preferred

Current or prior certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 with Space addendum
Current or prior certification in J-STD-001
Ability to test cable assemblies for continuity, isolation, insulation resistance, and insertion loss
