Responsibilities

The preparation of the Operating Room (OP), equipment and instrumentation for each procedure
Assisting the surgical team during the procedure
The clean-up and processing of equipment post-procedure
Works collaboratively with the RN and all surgical team members to meet the needs of each patient
On call duties will be required for nights, weekends and holidays

Qualification

Surgical technology certificationBLS certificationAccredited surgical programDiplomaPeriop 101 completion

Required

High School Diploma
Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
Successful completion of Periop 101 during CHA orientation
National Surgical Technician Certification required
Current American Heart Association/American Red Cross BLS certification required
