Responsibilities
An Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental Bureau builds and prosecutes cases against environmental polluters
Assistant Attorneys General investigate complaints, work with other state agencies, draft pleadings, draft and respond to motions, manage mediations and settlements and represent the interests of the People of the State of Illinois in court
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be licensed in the State of Illinois at the time of application
An ideal candidate will have a strong interest and experience in investigation, litigation and public policy
Experienced attorneys encouraged to apply
Preferred
Those with a background in environmental law or environmental science preferred
