NEOGOV is seeking a Learning Resource Center Director for Halifax Community College. The Director will manage the Learning Resource Center, overseeing staff, developing programs, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

The LRC Director plans and develops an effective learning resources program that supports the mission of Halifax Community College. The Director supervises two full time LRC technical positions, three part time positions, . In addition, the Director is the supervisor for any HCC student workers that are employed through Financial Aid work study or PRIDE work study

The Director is responsible for the LRC’s collection development; policy creation and implementation; managing the budget; providing instruction for classes and/or HCC instructors; maintaining an environment conducive to learning; representing the LRC within the college, community college system, local community, and general public; reporting IPEDS yearly, and upholding SACSCOC standards

Support the College Strategic Plan, Assessment, IE, QEP, and SACSCOC Requirements/Principles

Support retention and advising

The Director maintains appropriate annual professional development opportunities for professional growth

Other duties as assigned
