Responsibilities
Install, provision and repair datacenter hardware (client hardware, storage nodes, networking gear, etc)
Basic networking and cable management - Fiber, twinax, ethernet, serial, wifi, etc
Intermediate OS software configuration - Windows, OSX, Linux, etc
Basic data center HVAC and Power management (be able to determine when something is wrong, and inform vendors)
Shipping and receiving
Capacity planning and stakeholder management
Supply ordering and inventory management
Warranty tracking and returns
Trash disposal and general grooming of lab spaceAbility to balance competing priorities and drive issues to completion
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to work onsite at our data center located in the Federal Way / Kent area of Washington
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience
Experience Troubleshooting Network installation and configuration
Ability to triage and repairing data center fiber optic cabling/systems and network hardware
Ability to independently lift & rack equipment up to 50lbs
May require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
