Responsibilities
Deploy and configure services using infrastructure as a service (IaaS) providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack)
Configure and manage Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website
Debug cluster-based computing architectures
Use scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems
Install and manage open source monitoring tools
Use configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt)
Develop architecture for continuous integration and deployment, and continuous monitoring
Use containerization technologies (e.g., LXC, Docker, Rocket)
Oversee the application releases, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding
Introduce processes, tools and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle, from coding and deployment, to maintenance and updates
Orchestrate infrastructure components, implement automation tools and share knowledge with team members
Qualification
Required
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment
Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack
Experience working on Windows and Linux based server and IIS Web Server (Internet Information Services) infrastructure and be willing to learn and support Adobe ColdFusion
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Visual C++, Python, Perl, and Java
Working knowledge of database which includes backend connections to Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL
Excellent troubleshooting
Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps
This classification requires the possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field
