The City of Menifee is seeking a part-time Maintenance Attendant to help maintain the City's streets, parks, and facilities. The role involves performing basic maintenance work, assisting in the preparation of sports fields, and ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of various facilities.

Responsibilities

Dig ditches, trenches and pot holes; backfill trenches; load and unload dirt and construction materials
Cut grass and weeds; rake and load grass and brush; mow lawns and clean grounds; assist in planting, watering and caring for shrubs and flowers
Assist in maintaining and preparing athletic fields including hand grading, filling and shaping of baseball diamonds
Assist journey level building maintenance trade workers in painting projects, moving furniture and equipment, removing and laying of carpets, and construction or maintenance projects as assigned
Assist other skilled workers in a variety of crafts and trades; may act as flag person when working on City streets; may drive City vehicles, as assigned
Prepare facilities for permitted reservations including clearing debris, sweeping, pressure washing, and posting necessary signage
Perform periodic facility audits to confirm patrons are permitted and are safely using reserved facilities

Required

Uses and purposes of common construction and maintenance tools and equipment
Basic computer skills
Appropriate safety precautions and procedures
Perform moderate to heavy manual labor (depending upon assignment)
Perform unskilled and limited skilled office, maintenance and operational tasks in a variety of maintenance activities
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade or currently enrolled in high school
Must be 18 years of age or older
The possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, a Valid California Driver's License by the time of appointment
