Community Health Services Manager

NEOGOV is seeking a Community Health Services Manager who will perform professional and administrative work in support of the County’s public health functions. The role involves the development, implementation, and oversight of community outreach and health programs, as well as supervising a team of specialists and serving as the Public Information Officer for the Health Department.

Responsibilities

Directs and manages the work of Community Outreach Specialists, ImmTrac2 Specialists, and the Indigent Health Coordinator
Develops, implements, and evaluates community outreach, immunization registry, and indigent health program activities
Serves as the PIO for the Health Department, including preparing press releases, responding to media inquiries, coordinating interviews, and leading communication during public health emergencies
Ensures departmental compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to immunizations, indigent health, and public health communications
Analyzes data and feedback to monitor program performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
Builds and maintains partnerships with community organizations, health care providers, schools, and other stakeholders
Coordinates and hosts community outreach events to expand access to health care and increase awareness of available health services
Prepares reports for program activities, outcomes, and grant deliverables

Required

Bachelor's degree in public health, Communications, or a related field required
Valid Class C Texas Driver's License required
Must complete any additional training within 30 days of notice

Preferred

Master's degree in public health, Communications, Social Work, or a related field preferred
Two (2) years of public health, outreach, or communications experience preferred
Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred
ICS/NIMS Public Information Officer training preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
