This role involves providing high-quality medical care to shelter animals and supporting community clinics through various veterinary services.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality medical care to shelter animals, from intake exams to ongoing treatments
Assist in spay/neuter surgeries, dentals with extractions, and other procedures
Support our Community Clinics—including vaccine clinics, wellness checks, and spay/neuter programs
Administer medications, monitor anesthesia, and perform laboratory tests
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure a clean, safe clinical environment
Qualification
Required
Certified Veterinary Technician (or eligibility to become certified in NH)
Strong technical and animal handling skills
Ability to draw blood
Place IV catheters
Prep patients for surgery
Perform dental cleanings and take dental x-rays
Position patients for radiographs
Perform basic in-house laboratory work
Interact with clients and other Humane Society Staff in a professional manner
