Responsibilities
Coordinate regulation enforcement and perform community education and outreach activities
Receive and respond to requests for information from all City departments, neighborhood groups, other public agencies, community organizations and the public in an effective and timely manner
Act as a liaison for City departments/programs and City residents/neighborhood groups by monitoring reports and complaints
Provides ongoing input, information and materials that support internal and external communication efforts about assistance, programs and opportunity
Ensures that community requests for assistance and/or resources are addressed. Refers such requests to the appropriate party
Assists in regulation enforcement, community education and outreach activities as assigned by the Unit Coordinator
May be assigned special projects
May perform other related tasks
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
At least three to five (3-5) years related work experience in public relations, community involvement in customer service and outreach work
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Proficiency in Microsoft office and ability to navigate the internet and social media
Ability to interact with the public with tact and diplomacy
Ability to maintain professionalism under stressful situations
Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
Written and Oral Communication Skills
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently, assume responsibility and take initiative
Ability to maintain confidential information
Valid Driver's license
Ability to work off hours (evenings and weekends)
