Experienced European Service Technician

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality-focused automotive company seeking experienced and motivated service technicians to join their team. The Experienced European Service Technician will oversee and guide a team in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair complex automotive problems, including engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension systems
Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
Assign tasks to technicians based on their skills and experience
Provide technical guidance and support to technicians
Monitor technician performance and ensure adherence to quality standards
Train and develop technicians to improve their skills
Communicate with customers about the status of their vehicle repairs
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high-quality service
Complete necessary paperwork, including repair orders and work estimates
Manage inventory of parts and supplies
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
European experience or other domestic/import brands with at least 3 years of experience as a full-time flat rate technician
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to diagnose and repair complex automotive problems
Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and safety standards
Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
Ability to work in a noisy and sometimes dirty environment
Ability to use hand tools and power tools
Good eyesight and hearing
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Preferred

ASE or Mercedes-Benz technician certifications preferred
