NEOGOV is part of the City of Fairfield, which is seeking a Part-Time Facility Attendant to support the Fairfield Community Arts Center. The role involves preparing rooms for events, overseeing activities, and performing security inspections while ensuring building maintenance and guest services.

Responsibilities

Performs table and chair set-ups and take-downs for facility activities, rentals and events
Light janitorial duties. Remove trash from building after weekend events to dumpster
Set-up of audio/visual equipment. Familiar with all AV equipment and systems
Adjusts lighting levels as needed in the building. Familiar with lighting control systems
Assist with guest services for theatre events and programs. Provide directions and other general assistance to public
Assist with restocking of theatre concessions
Ensure building storage areas are organized, cleaned and properly maintained
Responsible for cleaning kitchen areas, washing dishes, clearing and cleaning countertops, cleaning kitchen equipment, and ensuring kitchen shelving and storage areas are properly stocked, organized and cleaned
Maintain and secure building with keys in his/her possession. Familiar with security procedures and systems

Required

Effective oral and written communications skills
Leadership skills
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to develop and maintain working relationships
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Ohio Drivers License
Moderate physical effort, including moving cases of water, soda, alcohol, and other supplies
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted (average lift is 15 lbs.)
Must be able to drive an automobile; occasional travel to distant sites may be required
Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments
