Hankook Tire Manufacturing Tennessee, LP is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their Facilities Technology Team. The role involves performing preventative and shutdown maintenance, along with repair duties to ensure operational efficiency of the assigned unit.

Responsibilities

Perform all work safely and according to company standards

Work well with others within the team and throughout the organization

Regular attendance is an essential function of the position

Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance duties safely, professionally, and to standard while following all company and regulatory safe work and housekeeping practices

Required to document all maintenance activities in Hankook’s maintenance system

Participate in and support Hankook’s continuous improvement programs to include 5S

Develop and maintain a partnership approach to operations, quality, and EHS

Maintain knowledge of the machines and remain up to date on predictive and preventive maintenance guidelines

Perform work from blueprints, sketches, or specifications

Perform welding and fabrication as required

Diagnose problems with existing equipment/machinery

Use of computer systems to perform diagnostics on electrical components and PLC system

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required

high school diploma or GED

1+ years of previous maintenance experience in an industrial environment or completion of a 2-year accredited Industrial Maintenance Certification program

good command of written and spoken English

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

Talking to others to convey information effectively

Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience

Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times

Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents

Working in warm temperatures with no air condition, working outside at times during cold weather

Working at heights of 10 feet or greater, operating lifting devices, and entering confined spaces
