They are seeking a 2nd Shift Surface Mount Assembly Technician to operate SMT equipment and produce a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s). The role involves working independently and in teams to achieve production objectives while ensuring quality and efficiency in the assembly process.

Responsibilities

Working knowledge of SMT machines such as: Stencil Printer, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray and hand soldering

Understanding of different electronics packages such as 0402, 0603, BGA’s and how they are processed on a SMT line

Experience working under a microscope

Hand soldering SMT and Through-hole parts

Works to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on the work output

Works independently under limited supervision

Work in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and productions teams

Required

HS Diploma/GED and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience

Surface Mount Technology experience or related electronics assembly experience

Knowledge of SMT processes used to build Printed Circuit Board Assemblies

Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
