Cardiovascular I Technician
Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Cardiovascular I Technician to assist in cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath and EP Lab. The role involves scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring under the supervision of interventional cardiologists or electrophysiologists, providing technical support in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases.

Responsibilities
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Cardiac Cath Lab principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results
Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan
Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines and according to current competencies and scope of practice
Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures
Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff
Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards
Completes assigned goals
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology associates degree
BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE
ACLS certification or within 6 months of hire
Only eligible for position for 18 months as RCIS/RCES certification required within 1 year of eligibility
