Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and stress tests
Assist in monitoring heart rhythms and arrhythmias
Set up and maintain EKG equipment for accurate readings
Instruct and prepare patients for cardiac monitoring procedures
Recognize and report abnormal cardiac patterns to medical staff
Maintain patient records and ensure test results are properly documented
Qualification
Required
Completion of an accredited EKG Technician program
Minimum one year of EKG experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and physiology
Preferred
Certification as a Certified EKG Technician (CET)
