Silgan Dispensing is focused on the production of dispensing systems, and they are seeking a Tool and Mold Maintenance Technician responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of injection molds and machine components. The ideal candidate will utilize precision tools and machinery to ensure quality and safety in the production process.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair on injection molds, including cleaning, troubleshooting, and part replacement

Interpret blueprints and verbal instructions to complete repair and maintenance tasks

Operate a variety of machines including surface grinders, OD/ID grinders, milling machines, lathes, and EDMs

Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, indicators, and calipers to ensure work meets specifications

Evaluate and resolve issues related to mold performance and tooling defects

Perform configuration changes, seal changes, pin changes, and preventative maintenance (PM) work on molds and tooling

Conduct visual inspections to ensure conformance with quality standards

Disassemble, clean, and assess mold components for wear or damage

Keep the work area clean and organized, following safety and housekeeping protocols

May be assigned to other duties based on skill level and production needs
