DOE Health Technician - Kealakehe Complex (Big Island)
University Health Partners of Hawai'i is seeking a Health Technician to support school health tasks within the Hawaii Keiki program. The role involves coordinating health screenings, promoting wellness, and facilitating health education in schools.
Health Care
Responsibilities
Coordinating school wide screenings with community partners
Health and wellness promotion
Data collection and disease surveillance
Coverage of the health needs of students
Data entry and health education as requested
Facilitate virtual and/or in person visits with a HK Nurse Practitioner (APRN)
Cover school health rooms following Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) protocol as requested and approved by HK supervisor and school administration
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification in a health related field or equivalent job related work experience
Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or current BLS Certification
Experience working in a clinical setting
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Customer service skills
Familiarity with Patient Confidentiality laws (HIPAA)
