Landscape Lighting Installation Technician

Responsibilities

Communicates with Homeowner/Client to introduce team members upon arrival at work site, to briefly explain/confirm the scope of work to be performed and estimated length of time to complete tasks. Speak to client to upsell other products
Anticipate task problems and inform Homeowner/Client of any issues and corrective action to complete task
Sustains a work environment that builds positive professional relationships, accepts accountability, demonstrate excellent customer service. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to complete scope of work. Provide customer with system orientation as applicable
Speak with client to inform and educate about additional products and services available
Assembles lights and mounts them in prescribed locations, mount transformers and connect wire runs
Run and bury low voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawns
Safely operate a variety of tools including hammer drills, power drills, saws, grinders and other tools as required
Safely climb and utilize ladders to perform necessary installation tasks
Clean up of all areas affected by the installation and perform maintenance on all Company tools and equipment used daily on work sites
Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to service clients
Operate company vehicle in a safe manner, maintain a clean and orderly vehicle. Notify management of any vehicle accidents, malfunctions or damages
Prepares and correctly completes any work order documents or reports
Accomplishes organization goals by following required best practices. Promptly inform Installation Supervisor or Owner of any team member injury, issues/disputes with homeowner/Client, damage to structure, or company tools/equipment
Update job knowledge by participating in training, successfully pass internal Lighting Technician training, follow all company polices, safety rules and procedures including all highway traffic laws

Perform other duties that may be assigned

Required

High School degree or equivalent
Minimum of 1-year experience in a customer service related industry
Computer skills, with knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs
Ability to successfully pass a background check, including a clean driving record, and other pre-employment screening
Exceptional interpersonal skills that positively benefits interaction with other team members and homeowners/clients
Ability to work both independently and as a team player
Must be detailed oriented, able to plan, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze information, and implement the best solution to solve problems or challenges
Good comprehension and communication skills, with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through written and verbal communication
Ability to exercise good judgment and self-control
Demonstrate the ability to operate a vehicle according to established safety and risk management practices
Enthusiasm, good attitude, articulate, trustworthiness, personal integrity and honesty
Ability to work outdoors, autonomously and understand when a superior need to be involved in decision making
Self-motivated, with a dedication to apply new knowledge to your job
Be available to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends
Able to lift & carry items up to 75 lbs
Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as, lifting, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling the handling of materials
Stand or walk for periods of time
Stoop, kneel, crouch in awkward positions
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
