Responsibilities

Assist physicians with a wide range of interventional radiology procedures (angiography, biopsies, drainages, vascular access, embolization, stent placements, etc.)

Operate fluoroscopy, CT, and other imaging equipment safely and effectively during procedures

Prepare procedure rooms with necessary sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment

Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, patient safety, and infection control protocols

Monitor patient vital signs and comfort before, during, and after procedures

Administer contrast media under physician direction and observe patients for adverse reactions

Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, supplies used, and patient records in EMR systems

Provide post-procedure instructions and support patient recovery as needed

Participate in on-call rotation for emergency IR procedures (as required by department)
