Mid LevelTempur Sealy International is seeking an Intermediate Maintenance Technician who will work under general supervision to perform various maintenance tasks. The role focuses on the installation, startup, troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical processes, and ensuring the longevity and functionality of the building and equipment.

Responsibilities
Follow all safety guidelines and participate as fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents
Observes devices and equipment in operation and troubleshoot problems
Performs various electromechanical maintenance functions
Respond to internal customer service and trouble calls
Makes necessary repairs to equipment, as required
Perform equipment calibrations to all analytical equipment and measurement devices
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
Installs and prepares equipment for startup, as required
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
Repairs or replaces defective parts and installs special functional and structural parts in devices
Provide timely and effective communication of important issues to supervisor
Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties
Responsible for housekeeping in work area
Uphold a safe, clean and orderly work environment
Performs other related duties as required
Quality of work meets best equipment engineering and maintenance practices
Work closely with all shift peers and production team members
Qualification
Required
Works under general supervision and fully trained to complete responsibilities independently
Multi-skilled craftsperson responsible for the installation/startup and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical processes used in manufacturing
Support equipment located in the building or on the grounds
Maximize production and the functional longevity and appearance of the building, grounds, and equipment
