Responsibilities
Use shop equipment such as lifts, welders, diagnostic equipment, etc. with confidence and in accordance with all safety procedures
Expertly diagnose issues based upon experience, analysis, and testing
Maintain leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials
Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
Perform routine service inspections, test, and lubricate engines and other major components
Repair automobiles and light trucks that run on multiple fuel sources
Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well as in the diagnostics arena
Know and adhere to safety and environmental standards for maintenance/repair facilities
Leading or train other, less qualified, technicians in maintenance/repair activity when required
Qualification
Required
Must have valid Driver's License
Self-motivated
Reliable
Effective problem solving skills to diagnose mechanical issues
Detail oriented
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
Ability to lead or train other, less qualified, technicians in maintenance/repair activity when required
Knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials
Broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry
Knowledge of safety and environmental standards for maintenance/repair facilities
Experience in using shop equipment such as lifts, welders, diagnostic equipment, etc
