Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of anesthetic and sedated procedures on our Surgery Team
Monitoring anesthesia and managing patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures
Surgical prepping and positioning
Knowledge of common surgical instruments and their uses
Calculating and administering CRI medications appropriately
Maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in Specialty, Emergency, or Critical Care medicine
LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT license required
Have an in depth understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc
Advanced skill set includes experience monitoring anesthesia and managing patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures, surgical prepping and positioning, knowledge of common surgical instruments and their uses, and experience calculating and administering CRI medications appropriately
Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role
Preferred
Fluency in multiple languages a plus
