Nail Technician On Call

Responsibilities

Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service
Provide consistent professional manicure and pedicure treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices
Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa
Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls
Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas
Actively promote home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals
Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
Maintain a pedicure sanitation log as required by city ordinance
Perform prep work and properly clean and restock the room as required
Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously
Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
Possess the ability to work without direct supervision
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment
Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa
Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management

Required

Must hold and maintain a current state license
Must possess a thorough knowledge of the skin
Must have excellent nail service techniques
Must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills
Must possess excellent communication skills
Must be detail-oriented and have ability to multi-task
Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills
Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
Excellent communication and listening skills
Must be a team player
Minimum of 1 year experience in a luxury nail salon or spa
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
Must demonstrate a professional, effective demeanor and maintain standards of excellence in guest service
Must display the ability to work with a variety of people, remain calm and professional during stressful situations, must be able to analyze and resolve guest and/or staff-related problems
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language
Must be able to provide legible communication and directions
Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
Must be able to prioritize and organize
Must be able to think clearly, remaining calm and resolving problems using sound judgment
Must be able to follow directions thoroughly

Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds
Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling
Must be able to use, carry, and operate all necessary office equipment using finger dexterity
Must be able to communicate with employees, managers, subordinates and guests through verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity
Must be able to visually look at a computer for extended periods of time
Must be able to adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel as thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems
