Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician at their International Headquarters location. The role involves the setup, programming, operation, and maintenance of HVAC systems across all facilities, along with supervising other technicians and vendors.

Responsibilities

Maintain daily operation of all systems of HVAC equipment

Troubleshoot system failures and make necessary repairs, with a strong emphasis on Preventive Maintenance

Perform and oversee quarterly inspections of equipment and programming systems, logging scheduled inspection reports as required

Report any deficiencies or concerns to Director of Facilities

Provide hands-on field training for Maintenance staff as assigned

Make recommendations on equipment purchases and energy-savings strategies

Assist Facilities Manager with inventory start-up and monitoring of necessary inventory to facilitate prompt repairs and maintenance of HVAC equipment

Maintain a safe work environment

Perform all work in a safe manner and follows all associated safety guidelines

Qualification

HVAC technician certificationCommercial HVAC experienceAdvanced HVAC knowledgeNorth Carolina HVAC licenseEffective communication

Required

HVAC technician certification and at least seven (7) to ten (10) years commercial experience installing, operating, and maintaining HVAC equipment and systems; or at least five (5) years energy management experience installing, operating, and maintaining energy management systems, including thermal operating energy systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Advanced knowledge of HVAC/mechanical maintenance. The work calls for sufficient comprehension and the ability to solve unusual as well as common work problems, to be able to advise on technical matters, and to serve as a resource on the subject for others in the organization

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Ability to write simple correspondence

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group

Fluency in English (required)
