Responsibilities
Provide technical direction within the Mission Engineering Team to ensure mission studies are executing to plan, requirements are met, and stakeholders (including customers) are satisfied with study progression
Orchestrate and prioritize team tasking to ensure they are executing to the schedule
Soliciting input from various stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of leadership within the organization
Developing and translating CONOPs and related tactics into modeled simulation behaviors
Collaborating closely with cross functional teams and cross programs
Developing roadmaps and plans to support mission engineering strategic objectives
Develop new models and refine existing models for integration into AFSIM
Provide support to the Mission Engineering Lead in cost estimation, technical planning, and leadership briefings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8+ years of related experience
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance and a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A)
Preferred
Experience managing people preferred
Demonstrated engineering team leadership skills
DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Experience with mission engineering and operational analyses
Experience with multi-resolution conceptual model development, verification, and validation processes to develop simulations to address questions on military operations
Experience with Python
Demonstrated experience modeling new capabilities into a team's modeled scenario in Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)
Experience with Object Oriented Simulation
Experience developing basis of estimates (BOE), integrated master schedules (IMS), and other artifacts for responses to government requests for information (RFI) or requests for proposal (RFP)
Familiar with team collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Github, etc
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with existing and prospective stakeholders
Strong communication skills to clearly present technical approaches and findings to a variety of audiences
Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
Ability to lead employees and contribute to technical development across multiple work locations
