Engage in the instruction and mentorship of both undergraduate and graduate students
Teach three courses during the academic year
Support the campus community of scholars
Contribute to Southern Studies and African American Studies
Participate in the recruitment and retention of outstanding students in Southern American Literature fields
Qualification
Required
Doctorate in English or related fields
Evidence of a robust research and publishing agenda
Preferred
Specialization in Southern Literature, with a preferred focus on African American Culture and Literature
Knowledge and abilities in digital literacies and archival studies
