Responsibilities

Program, Setup and Operate Leica Laser Trackers and Romer Arms utilizing Spatial Analyzer software
Setup and utilize Mechanical Inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators, surface plates and various other gages
Read and interpret engineering drawings and design data to inspect machined and received components
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
Manage preparation for Laser Tracker inspections by creating data analysis templates using Microsoft Excel
Manage and track various tooling inspections
Provide feedback to machinists and engineers regarding dimensional data
Generate and Document Non-Conformance reports as required
Perform process improvements as needed, such as inspection cycle time reductions
Maintain configuration control on all files and job records
Safely work within an industrial environment

Required

5-10 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components
Spatial Analyzer software operation
Model Based Engineering experience per ASME Y14.41-2012
Superior blue print reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-2009 and ASME Y14.5-2018
Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work
Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs

Preferred

CAD system knowledge
Creo and/or Windchill experience
Advanced machining knowledge and experience
Design for Manufacturability and Producibility knowledge
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
Experience in tooling design reviews to ensuring compliance with ASME requirements
Tooling source inspection
Knowledge of Method of Acceptance Tooling
Knowledge in Laser Tracker calibration per ASME B89.4.10360.2-2008
