Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance plans and procedures for assigned programs
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues
Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure that quality requirements are integrated into product design and production processes
Monitor program performance metrics and report on quality trends and issues to senior management
Participate in program reviews and provide quality-related input and recommendations
Support customer and regulatory audits, including preparation and follow-up activities
Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency
Ensure that all quality documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field
5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
Department of Defense Secret clearance is preferred at time of hire
The selected candidate must be able to obtain a clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire
U.S. citizenship is required
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in quality tools and software, such as statistical analysis, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the defense industry
Experience with supplier quality management and development
