Responsibilities
Serve as the principal cybersecurity advisor and technical authority for BNATCS security architecture, design, and policy alignment
Develop enterprise-level security strategies and frameworks consistent with FAA directives, NIST RMF, and FAA Order 1370.121
Review and validate architectural designs, system integrations, and vendor solutions for compliance with FAA, DHS, and federal cybersecurity requirements
Lead enterprise threat modeling, risk assessments, and Security Risk Management (SRM) analyses in accordance with FAA SRMGSA
Provide expert input on Zero Trust architecture adoption, cloud security, network segmentation, and secure OT/IT convergence across FAA facilities
Direct development and review of System Security Plans (SSPs), Continuous Monitoring Strategies, and Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation
Advise on integration of Safety Management System (SMS) and cybersecurity risk frameworks (FAA Order 8000.369C) to ensure operational safety and system resilience
Coordinate with FAA ATO, AJW, AJI, and industry partners to align BNATCS modernization with enterprise security and mission assurance objectives
Provide leadership in cybersecurity governance, incident response planning, and architecture-level mitigation of vulnerabilities in mission systems
Mentor engineering teams and advise task order leadership on emerging technologies, risk posture, and compliance readiness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related technical discipline; Master's or Ph.D. preferred
12+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture and engineering, with direct experience in FAA, DoD, or national critical infrastructure programs
Demonstrated expertise in FAA cybersecurity policy, AMS processes, and NIST SP 800-series controls
Deep understanding of enterprise and operational technology (OT) systems integration in real-time, safety-critical environments
Experience developing or reviewing enterprise-level architectures under frameworks such as Zero Trust, TIC 3.0, and FedRAMP
Current professional certifications such as CISSP, ISSAP, or CISM required; SABSA, CCSP, or PMP desirable
Proven ability to interface with executive leadership, federal stakeholders, and technical teams to influence secure design and policy decisions
Active or eligible for a Public Trust or higher federal clearance
