Responsibilities
Set up and operate horizontal boring, drilling, and milling machines with accuracy and efficiency
Handle machining operations like milling, drilling, boring, and reaming
Lay out workpieces, set feeds and speeds, and verify dimensions using precision instruments
Secure setups, read layouts, and machine plates or basic weldments
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Machinist experience, prior work with Devleig or GNL milling equipment is a plus
Knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures
Able to read blueprints and set up equipment accordingly
Able to use overhead crane
