Project Engineer | Jackson Hole | High-End Residential GC
MatPel Builders is a premier general contractor based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, specializing in high-end residential construction. The Project Engineer supports project managers and assistant project managers by planning construction schedules, managing project documentation, and providing general support to the team.

Responsibilities
Collect all project information including directory, budget, schedule, submittal log, plans, and specifications from the estimating department
Work closely with APMs and PMs to process and organize project documentation
Track and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, schedule updates, and budget revisions
Maintain up-to-date project documentation in Procore
Ensure current drawings and specifications are printed and available onsite
Take regular site photos and upload them to Procore
Take meeting notes at OAC and other project meetings as needed
Help collect, review, and transmit submittals to confirm compliance with design and performance requirements
Assist in reviewing project cost data on draft invoices in preparation for PMs to finalize and submit payment applications to clients
Compile closeout materials including as-built drawings, back-stock inventory, and owner manuals
Participate in After-Action Reviews (AARs) with the project team to evaluate performance and identify lessons learned
Assist with maintaining office organization, stocking supplies and snacks, coordinating deliveries, and setting up for meetings
Run local errands and support general facility needs for the Jackson office as requested
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Computer literate with the ability to learn industry software quickly
Basic understanding of construction practices and standards
Commitment to delivering exceptional service and quality
Strong work ethic, self-directed, and reliable
Detail-oriented and resourceful problem solver
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Ability to work in both office and active construction site settings
Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods, with intermittent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions including heat, cold, and exposure to dust or airborne particles
Must be able to safely navigate ladders, stairs, and uneven job site terrain
Preferred
bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
Previous experience or internship with a construction, architectural, or MEP firm
