Responsibilities

Management of construction documents and contracts
Management of project schedules and budgets
Preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work
Significant experience in client and public-agency interactions
Management of Design and Support Staff
Ability to prepare and review traffic studies, signing and striping plans, traffic signal plans, and traffic control plans
Thorough knowledge of the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications, and Caltrans Highway Design Manual
Ability to prepare presentations, and present at various public meetings (i.e. City Council, Planning Commission, Development Review, etc.)
Experience with and ability to provide in-house contract traffic engineering services for public agencies

Required

BSCE degree
CA Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer and Traffic Engineer (or ability to obtain in next 6 months)
Minimum of eight (8-12) years relevant experience or equivalent work experience of twelve (12-15) years in this industry
Independent thought and decision-making abilities
A minimum of three years management experience supervising the work of technical staff
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
Demonstrated Project management ability
Adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients/public-agency personnel and in-house staff
Management of construction documents and contracts
