Johnsonlink Orthodontics is a rapidly growing orthodontic office seeking a committed and detail-oriented Orthodontic Sterilization Tech. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that instruments used for procedures are clean and sterilized, optimizing patient care while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties with excellence

Properly sterilize and pack all instruments and equipment under department policy

Perform all opening, closing, and maintenance procedures described in the sterilization and maintenance policies handbook

Restock and maintain an inventory of sterilization supplies and instruments to ensure a constant level is always available

Communicate to the lead assistant and ordering personnel any supplies that need replenishing or replacement

Maintain order and cleanliness in the sterilization area and toothbrushing area. Perform mandatory weekly spore testing and maintain a log for records

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of the Autoclave

Restock all stations daily with supplies needed

Maintain laundry (lab coats and towels) along with taking trash & recycling out

Seat patients, assist clinical assistants, set up and tear down patient chairs between patients

Other duties may include participating in team activities, replenishing patient education material and JLO swag, and community involvement events
