Xynergy® Media & Digital Marketing is seeking a UX and design director to lead a growing team of UX and visual designers. The role involves overseeing the design and development of websites and applications, ensuring high standards of user experience and visual design, while also mentoring a team to meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

Lead a growing team of UX and visual designers
Work closely with clients to understand their business and guide them to success
Design and build websites and apps
Make layout decisions informed by a deep understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
Partner with developers to ensure smooth user journeys
Direct the design and marketing teams to build highly converting landing pages and advertisements
Lead recurring design reviews with your team
Communicate client needs to other designers
Present the design team's work to clients

Required

High level of technical skills in UX and visual design
Broad understanding of UI Design patterns and UX best practices
Deep understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
Mastery of Adobe CC
Experience leading a team of designers
Ability to conduct design reviews and communicate client needs
Experience in designing and building websites and apps
Strong sense of visual design informed by modern trends
Understanding of UX best practices and advocacy for accessibility
Ability to balance multiple high priority tasks
Strong critical thinking skills
Ability to apply design thinking to business goals

Preferred

Experience with logo design, icon design, and brand development
Experience with animation
Experience with UX prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, XD)
Experience with WordPress theme/plugin development
Experience with Expression Engine CMS
Experience with Vanilla JavaScript/jQuery
Experience with HTML Canvas
Experience with D3.js
Experience with AfterEffects/Premiere Pro
Experience managing other designers or developers
Experience teaching workshops or other classes
