Responsibilities

Reports test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols

Serves as Charge Technologist

Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff

Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures

May instruct and observe student technologists

Effectively manages resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment

Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner

Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures

Assesses competency of team members

Required

Bachelors (Required)

Clinical Lab Supervisor License (SU LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)

Clinical Lab Technologist License (TN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)

Minimum of three (3) years' experience required as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Intermediate knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation

Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers

Intermediate knowledge of laboratory information systems

Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Preferred

Associate's degree with five (5) years or more of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

Bachelor's degree required to assess competency

Florida State License as a Technologist (TN License) or Supervisor (SU License) in the area of responsibility
