Quality Auditor - Food Auditor (1-2 Day Audits)
SQA Services is a leading provider of managed supplier quality services, offering audits and assessments across various industries. They are hiring a Food Auditor for a contract opportunity to conduct 1-2 day audits at suppliers in the US, requiring significant lead audit experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities
Conduct on-site supplier audits across assigned regions (primarily New Jersey and neighboring states)
Evaluate compliance to GMP, FSMA, and ISO/FSSC standards
Perform audits of facilities involved in food manufacturing, packaging, raw materials, and feed/ingredient processing
Prepare audit plans, conduct opening/closing meetings, and document findings per SQA client specifications
Write clear, detailed, and compliant audit reports, submitting them promptly
Collaborate with the SQA Content Team to finalize and clarify reports
Represent SQA Services with professionalism and objectivity during supplier and client interactions
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of auditing experience within the Food industry
Must have conducted 10 or more supplier audits as a Lead Auditor
Knowledge of ISO/FSSC 22000, SQF, BRCGS - Food Safety, HACCP, FAMI-QS, FSMA, and 21 CFR 110, 111, or 117
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Ability to conduct on-site audits and travel regionally
Availability for at least two audits per month (additional REQs may be opened based on capacity)
Must reside within 4 hours (driving/flying) of Cincinnati, OH
Preferred
Experience auditing feed, ingredient, or packaging suppliers
Familiarity with pharmaceutical or nutraceutical manufacturing (a plus)
Lead Auditor certifications in ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, or SQF preferred
Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is considered a plus but not required
