Program Manager II, Trauma and Acute Care Surgery
Tulane University is seeking a Program Manager II for a CDC-funded study aimed at reducing violent injury rates in New Orleans. The role involves managing research activities, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with established protocols for data collection and intervention activities.

Responsibilities
Managing a CDC-funded, hospital and community-based quasi experimental study entitled: 'Disrupting the Cycle: Expansion of a Novel Hospital-Based Violence Intervention in New Orleans.'
Consulting with the Principal Investigators (PIs) on an evaluation plan and project timelines
Coordinating all research activities in the field
Coordinating and facilitating meetings of research staff and community partners
Coordinating and facilitating data collection
Supervising research assistants; this includes hiring, training, and supervising all students and staff persons responsible for different elements of the intervention and research
Ensuring that all intervention and data collection activities follow established protocols
Conducting quality assurance checks of study and intervention activities
Maintaining confidentiality of data
Coordinating communications with the team of faculty researchers and community partners
Working with data and technology specialists to best secure, manage, and analyze the data
Overseeing grant-related expenditures and assuring that expenditures stay within budget
Qualification
Required
Excellent oral, written, and communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong abilities to work effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities
Strong organizational skills and the capacity to coordinate program activities and staff
Experience working on research projects, particularly with evaluation data collection
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed
Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of experience
High School Diploma with 7 years of experience
Preferred
Coordination and management experience
Outreach and community engagement experience
Experience interacting with diverse populations in the New Orleans community
