Clinical Psychologist

Shared Health is currently recruiting for a part-time to full-time Clinical Psychologist as part of an expansion of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model services for adults with severe mental illness. The role involves providing consultation, assessment, treatment, and clinical service development, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive psychological services.

Responsibilities

Provide consultation, assessment, treatment and clinical service development for a wide range of clinical conditions
Involved in the planning, development, coordination, and evaluation of new programs
Assessment and triage process of patients where required, and provide consultation to members of the teams
Provide direct care including psychodiagnostic and cognitive assessments, as well as individual and group-based interventions as appropriate
Develop behavior plans for behaviors of concern

Required

Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from a CPA or APA-accredited training program
Completion of a CPA or APA-accredited Internship/Residency in Clinical Psychology
Education, training and clinical experience in a range of evidence-based psychological treatments, and individual & group treatment delivery with adults
Education, training and experience in psychodiagnostic evaluation and cognitive assessment, including the administration and interpretation of standard adult psychological tests and measures
Training and experience with severe and/or chronic mental illness presentations
Experience with consultation to health care providers and clinical teams
Registered or eligible to be registered for full independent practice as a C. Psych. by the Psychological Association of Manitoba
Professional liability insurance required
Excellent interpersonal skills and inter-professional teamwork skills
Excellent oral and written communication
Satisfactory results of pre-employment criminal records, vulnerable person and child and adult abuse registry checks

Preferred

Education, training and clinical experience with behavioural management planning and implementation an asset
