Responsibilities

Work on construction projects supporting clients’ business and business practices
Work with clients and contractors with knowledge of construction practices including change management, safety, quality assurance, scheduling, estimating, price negotiations, inspection, and oversight of day-to-day activities
Develop and deliver on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules
Communicate effectively and tackle project challenges in a fast-paced environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
12+ years of proven experience in Construction Management and civil inspection working on County Public Work projects
Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; associated safety requirements
Knowledge of current and upcoming relevant local, regional, state and federal regulations governing design, construction, contracting, environmental, and safety measures
Experience with projects utilizing alternative project delivery
Experience supporting clients on multiple capital projects
Required to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record

Preferred

Current and valid registration as a licensed Professional Architect or Engineer in the State of California
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification
Proven experience and knowledge with Caltrans Transportation projects
