Responsibilities

Plan major projects, develop cost estimates, obtain quotes, prepare capital expenditure requests and participate in capital budgeting processes

Develop FEL (front end loading) design and planning documents, to assure project schedule, cost and performance criteria are met

Support the development of preventative and predictive maintenance programs, critical spares analysis, and other reliability efforts, as part of an overall emphasis on reduced down time in the plants

Evaluate existing equipment and process technology and systematically upgrade capabilities to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and production requirements

Evaluate and support utility system operation through regular inspection and preventative maintenance

Support or supervise maintenance and contractor work activities as needed

Lead or support improvements in process controls systems (SCADA) to meet operational objectives

Develop and/or coordinate and maintain technical documentation, including P+IDs, PFDs, construction drawings, functional descriptions, etc. pertinent to project work and facilities

Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, local building codes and safe work practices and model safety compliance and behaviors in the workplace

Maintain knowledge of environmental regulations, practices and procedures, to support compliance and fulfill requirements for EPA and WI DNR

Provide other engineering and technical support as required

Adhere to all government and company safety, sanitation and GMP policies and regulations
