Great Kitchens Food Company is responsible for food production and quality. They are seeking a Tech 2, Maintenance to perform diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and maintenance systems.
Food Production
Responsibilities
Maintain the quality, legality and safety of each product to include the processes used in their manufacture
Ensure equipment operates safely; machine guarding is in place
Keep work area, facility including grounds and machinery clean
Perform repair and/or preventative maintenance to all equipment, building, offices, and grounds
Establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the Facility and across all shifts
Never abuse equipment or tools and maintain a safe and clean work environment
Work with Supervision and Maintenance to maintain equipment in good working condition
Will assist with set-up, start-up, operation of and shut down to include disassembly of all equipment
Will become a team member to assist with writing operating parameters and procedures
Other duties assigned by managers/supervisors
Shift hand off discussion with incoming and outgoing techs shall be held on the floor at the beginning and end of each shift
Majority of the shift shall be spent on the production floor. If no urgent repairs are needed, time shall be spent on preventative maintenance, equipment observations, and continuous improvement

Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in general maintenance that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures
Must exhibit entry level mechanical, electrical and plumbing skills
Must display entry level trouble shooting skills of processing and packing equipment
Must be familiar with basic theory and trouble shooting skills on PLC, VFD and HMI operations
Must be able to display basic operation on all shop equipment (mill, brake, and press)
Must be able to work overtime to assist with departmental staffing or production needs
Follows all work instructions given verbally or written
Must be able to create notifications and input time on work orders
Must utilize all safety devices, comply with all safety policies and procedures at all times
Preferred
Formal training in mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing techniques
Experience in the food industry
Experience in 5S and Lean manufacturing and formalized problem solving
