The Estimating Agent will support the overall Product Strategy by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of material takeoffs for products and plans, while also maintaining effective communication with internal teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

Assisting with setting up and maintaining products, options, and communities in Newstar and syncing Master Project level items to communities for plans and products

Helping to maintain the product library

Effectively communicating with internal teams and external suppliers and professionally addressing their requests

Validating accuracy of PO descriptions

Validating accuracy of products in Sales Systems

Creating purchase orders for new construction starts and making address specific adjustments as needed

Reviewing, researching and completing purchase order variances in a timely manner

Reviewing change orders for takeoff accuracy and processing for construction

Completing budget scrubs on closed homes

Strong people skills, including the capability to handle various personalities and develop professional relationships

Experience making quick and accurate decisions based heavily on facts, data and/or metrics

Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and follow-up and carry multiple projects through to completion

Experience with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook

High school diploma required
