RED-Rochester is a multi-utility generation plant and district energy supplier located in the Eastman Business Park. They are seeking an EHS Intern who will support the implementation of a new EHS Management System and assist senior EHS team members to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

Support for the implementation of a new EHS Management System solution. Support will include data gathering and execution on specific modules such as:

Incident Management, Safety Observations, Audits/Inspections, JHA and Chemical Management

Review, cleanup and conversion of an in-house Wastewater Profile database. Support for this will include:

Review and modification of wastewater profiles, addition of new profiles, collaborate with the team to convert profiles to another platform

Update standard operating procedures as needed

Provide operational support as needed

Support senior EHS team members

Qualification

Required

Enrolled in a college degree in the EHS, Science, Engineering or IT field

Knowledge of environmental, health and safety programs

Ability to successfully and independently drive EHS improvements

Ability to streamline processes and use data systems

Must be organized and have great attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly managing large data sets in Excel

Valid U.S. Driver's license and required insurance

Preferred

Strong background in chemistry
