Responsibilities

Understand and follow quality processes including but not limited to:

Oven Lead Person or Manager will give you a copy of the Mix Sheet. This sheet will give you all the information required on your end of the oven

Set up your heater temperature on the Control Panel per the Mix Sheet spec

Set up your both Ink Coder (if needed) with the correct information per the Mix Sheet, and double check them. When ready, notify the Knifer by Radio you are ready

When the product comes out of the oven take a sample from both office and shop side, use hand press to cut out the 4 ½ square samples, check weights on your Scout Pro scale. The weights must fall within high and low numbers on the Mix Sheet, record weights, oven temperature and oven speed on your Record of Sample Taken Sheet BR-M.SR. Advise by radio if any knife adjustments are needed. Same required for each pot on run or at each knife adjustment mark

Apply even coat talc powder to the surface of most products and inspect the material during production run, mark any defects with tape for the slitters

Ensure the oven temperature and products weights are in range of Mix Sheet

Keep the Oven Maintenance Check List BR-M. OMCL up to date. Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly checks must be done and signed off and dated

Follow all safety guidelines

Make certain the equipment and work areas are neat and clean

Perform maintenance checks
