Research Scientist I - Neurobiology

The Research Scientist I - Neurobiology will conduct scientific investigations, perform imaging experiments, and supervise the execution of experiments while analyzing data and writing research papers.

Responsibilities

Conducts innovative scientific investigation by developing theories and devising scientific methods and procedures to apply scientific principles, theories and research in projects related to the mission of UTMB
Evaluates, selects, and applies standard scientific techniques and procedures while using judgment when necessary to adapt standard methods and techniques
Perform imaging experiments as well as provide state of the art training for mass spectrometry and electrophysiology in BSL1 and BSL2 conditions
Help to train PhD and MS students and supervise the experiment execution on the daily basis as well as conduct experiments, analyze data, interpret results and write papers with minimal supervision
