2+ years expLoenbro Southwest is seeking a Mining Project Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and other project participants as needed by ensuring the success of a project through the technical accuracy of all project aspects. The role involves coordinating engineering efforts, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Responsibilities
Cooperating and communicating with the Project Manager and other project participants and collaborating with all team members to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability
For Projects that require Engineering, coordinate with the Preconstruction Group to attain the Engineering required
Coordinate field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests based on project requirements and internal quality guidelines
Maintain and organize all construction documentation including but not limited to contract drawings, fabrication drawings, specifications, change order documents, quality, and closeout documentation within the appropriate Procore tools and as outlined in the project requirements
Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
Gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use
Coordinate with Third Party Detailing Service for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use
Coordinate field surveying, dimension, and field verification with Superintendent or subcontractor including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
Perform material take offs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents
Prepare purchase requisitions for required project materials and monitor delivery status in support of construction schedule, construction budget, and project specifications
Provide all project administration and correspondence functions including permitting, bonding, and requests for information (RFIs)
Assist PM in the development of SSHEP’s and setting up Project Kick Off Meetings
Assist PM in the development of Subcontract Agreements
Assist PM with the development of the Schedule of Values for billing
Assist PM with the development of Estimates
Coordinate with other Divisions on estimates
Assist PM with Job Walks to ensure quality estimates are developed
Ensure project estimate is compliant with Loenbro standards
Assist PM to develop and maintain the Project schedule. MS Project experience is a must
Integrate Estimate and Projects according to the latest Procore procedures
Assist PM and Superintendent with Daily Planning
Ensure the development of claiming schemes are set up and Quantity Tracking is performed on all Projects
Update Estimate and Projects with change orders according to the PM
Attend site meetings as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar field
Mining/ MSHA Experience- 2-3 years or more
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficient with Microsoft Project software
Mining and Open Pit Experience Necessary
MSHA Related Compliance Knowledge
Understands Mining Equipment such as Crushers, Mills, Flotation Equipment, Moly Plants, Thickener Tanks, Smelters, Acid Plants, Process Equipment, Piping- Carbine-Stainless Steel- HDPE- PVC/CPVC, and SX Plants
Prolonged periods of working outside in the elements
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Use of Respiratory PPE, working around Mining related elements
Must be able to pass Drug Testing Pre-employment and randomized selection to include Physical Screening pre-employment and as necessary annually
Must be able to deal with the heat and cold climates throughout the Southwest
May be exposed to loud noises and will operate in a construction environment
Traveling throughout the Southwest United States, Office location based out of Gilbert AZ
Working around Dust Environments, Acid Plants, Smelters, Crushers, and Chemical Plants
Preferred
Diverse Background knowledge in Fabrication, Steel Erection, Piping, Mechanical, Equipment Setting, Concrete, Civil, and Electrical preferred. At least 50% of Expectations is a must
