Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas with the team and monitor vendor activity for compliance with city/county codes
Educate vendors on permit requirements and applicable regulations
Issue warnings, notices of violation, and citations as appropriate
Respond to community complaints regarding vendor activity in a professional manner
Document inspections and enforcement actions, including reports and photos
Collaborate with teammates, local law enforcement, health departments, and city officials as needed

Qualification

Certified Code Enforcement OfficerLaw enforcement backgroundBilingual SpanishCommunication skillsDocumentation skills

Required

Background in law enforcement, corrections, code enforcement, or security preferred
Certified Code Enforcement Officer, current or prior law enforcement, or PC 832 certification
Strong communication skills (oral & written)

Preferred

Bilingual Spanish is preferred
