Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of municipal engineers, providing guidance, technical support, and professional development opportunities

Oversee the preparation of engineering documents for municipal projects, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway, drainage, sewer, water, parks, and athletic fields improvements

Manage multiple high-priority projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies

Conduct or oversee field inspections of infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with design standards and local regulations

Review municipal site plans, zoning applications, and subdivisions, preparing detailed technical reports and recommendations for Planning & Zoning Boards

Cultivate strong relationships with municipal clients, offering proactive communication and problem-solving expertise to ensure client satisfaction

Required

B.S in Civil Engineering or related field

10+ years of experience in Civil Engineering, including project management for design and construction projects

Must have Professional Engineer (PE) license

Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Experience in reviewing applications for Land Use Boards with availability for Municipal (Land Use Board, Council and/or Committee) night meetings

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to organize and manage multiple projects

Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills, team player and willingness to learn

Preferred

Professional Planner (PP) license a plus
