Engineer III, Construction Electrical

Responsibilities
Demonstrate a high level of independence and responsibility in managing complex construction and commissioning tasks
Travel to domestic and international project sites up to 20% annually as required
Evaluate and apply engineering methods and techniques to develop electrical installation and commissioning procedures
Implement standard engineering criteria and exercise independent judgment with moderate supervision
Review and analyze electrical engineering designs, including:
Single-line, schematic, and connection diagrams
Protection schemes
Equipment tree line diagrams
Load lists and related documents
Evaluate AC/DC system designs and develop standard installation and commissioning procedures for power plant equipment
Possess strong technical knowledge of main power plant electrical components, including:
Power and distribution transformers
Control and current transformers
Generators and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR)
Static frequency converters, generator protection panels, and auxiliary equipment
Maintain a deep understanding of gas turbine control systems, speed governors, instrumentation loops, and auxiliary turbine equipment—critical for successful project execution
Ensure electrical system designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards
Coordinate technical support for field engineers, including material and equipment specifications, and review Project Action Requests (PARs)
Apply and interpret codes, standards, and customer design requirements to prepare electrical erection and commissioning procedures, specifications, and system descriptions
Conduct document reviews and design verifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of deliverables. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines
Foster a collaborative work environment built on trust, communication, innovation, and teamwork
Coordinate with Mitsubishi site teams, suppliers, quality teams, and contractors to ensure proper installation and commissioning of electrical systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering or Engineering technology
7–10 years of related experience in power generation or electrical field engineering
Strong knowledge of construction, commissioning, and start-up processes
Certified field engineering background in electrical systems
Demonstrate a high level of independence and responsibility in managing complex construction and commissioning tasks
Travel to domestic and international project sites up to 20% annually as required
Evaluate and apply engineering methods and techniques to develop electrical installation and commissioning procedures
